 Dear all,

this is what we did in class last Thursday:

- We talked about the two short stories we had to read over Christmas

- we did the pronunciation exercises on page 63

- we checked our homework. Page 257 exercises 4a and d

- We then did a speaking practice test using some useful structures. Learning a new skill

- We checked our homework on pages 200 and 201. Exercises 4a, b, c and d

- We watched this video




HOMEWORK:

- Write an email of complaint using the vocabulary and structures on pages 200 and 201. Pretend you are the old lady in the video and send an email of complaint to the manager of the hotel complaining about the following:

  • the room is too cold
  • the bath is too small
  • the radio doesn´t work
  • the view 
Ask for a compensation

- Do the reading exercise attached

Dear all, this is what we did yesterday in class: - we checked our homework - we did the pronunciation exercises on page 44 - you did exercise 4a on page 46 - I explained the grammar on page 222 - We played a comparisons game HOMEWORK: - page 222 exercises a and b (for next Tuesday) - worksheet (for next Tuesday) - For next Thursday. Composition. Page 198 exercise e. Imagine you stayed with some British friends in the UK last month. Plan an email to say thank you. Write five paragraphs and a postcript (PS). Include some of the highlighted phrases and use informal language (exercise c) ADDITIONAL HOMEWORK - Comparatives and superlatives 1 - Comparatives and superlatives 2 - Transport - Pronunciation. Consonants - check the revise and check pages (34 and 35) with the answer sheet I gave you and bring your doubts to the next classes.
